When Searching For An MLM Business Opportunity, You’ll Find What You Are Looking For

The title to this post might be a bit confusing, so let me explain myself.

I once confided to someone that I was thinking of becoming involved in a business opportunity. This person looked at me and said cautiously, “I don’t know if you should do it. I’ve heard some pretty negative things about that company.” This person came to me a day later and told me that he was in fact right, and he had done a search on the web for all the negative things he could find about my potential oppurtunity.

I thanked him for doing so much in depth research on my behalf, but told him I would be able to make a decision for myself. So I then went on the web and did a search of my own. I tried to find all the good things I could about this company. Hardly to my surprise, I found a wealth of information from people who had gone before me and had experienced incredible success in thier businesses. So what was the lesson I drew from this?

I concluded that no matter what multi-level marketing opportunity you decide to pursue, you will soon find out that there are many positive and many negative things to be said about that company. But it’s what you are looking for that counts.

I could find out something negative about any company in the world, including all the multi-billion dollar giants out there. Should that dissuade me from pursuing the business? If the negative information has been published by people who really know, meaning the Better Business Bureau or an attorney general, for example, then yes there really might be something to watch out for. But if all the mudslinging comes from some wierdo out there who tried the business and failed, you can probably take it with a grain of salt. IGNORE IT.

If you are reading this, I’m assuming you are a builder personality and not a destroyer. If so, you know exactly what I’m talking about. The builders will look for positive qualities of a company, while the destroyers will find anything negative and then spread that negativity to their friends, family, and acquaintances, just like a germ or a virus.

So anyway, you’ll find the kind of information that you are looking for. I just hope we all are looking for something good and not letting the germs out there pursuade us otherwise.
