Nay Sayers And Dream Stealers

What is it about the nay sayers and the dream stealers that make many of us forget why we got excited about our business in the first place? I ask myself this question all the time. One fact must be accepted - with MLM comes outside negativity.

It comes from our families even. Who hasn’t experienced a cousin, aunt, uncle, or even a closer family member ridiculing the idea of one of thier family members getting involved in MLM, or “one of those pyramid schemes” as they might call it. Could this be because we became so excited when we heard of the lifestyle we could live and it made them uncomfortable because they weren’t ready to change theirs? I think this may have a lot to do with it. When you are on top of the proverbial mountain there will always be those who throw rocks at you from below.

It is a very difficult thing to do, but we must see the nay sayers and dream stealer for what they really are so that when they open thier mouths, we will be ready. Perhaps you could put yourself in their shoes. Say you just got home from your 8 to 5 job, you fought traffic while dwelling on all the reasons why you are underappreciated, you are in a routine so you complain but never really do anything about it, and then someone calls you to tell you that they will be financially free in no time and they want you to come along for the ride. Your first instinct might be to scoff and pull them down from their high to the level that you are on.

Please don’t think that I believe all people fit this description, but I am trying to make a point. Few people really wish you the best if they don’t already have it themselves. It’s hard for us as humans to do so. Knowing this, don’t give the nay sayers and dream stealers the time of day. Recognize that they don’t want you to do something new because they won’t do it themselves, and then cast them out of your mind. They’re not worth the worries. I think we’ll all be greater for doing so, and if were lucky, we might bring some of them over to our side of the force.
