MLM Success Depends On You, Not Your Upline Sponsor

Today I was thinking about something I read once in a Mark Yarnell book. It is excellent information for those who are starting out in MLM or those who have become a little complacent in their efforts.
In network marketing, YOU have to take the initiative and make things happen. Others, such as your upline, will not do it all for you. They want you to figure things out so that you can teach your downline the same things.
Mark Yarnell illustrated this point by first noting how many of us believe that we can put a prospect in front of an upline expert and things will then work themselves out. This rarely or never works. We must take our recruit and guide them through the initial process of starting out their business. They must know and see that they can rely on us. If that’s all they see, then chances are they will become the same kind of upline expert when they have a downline.
Imagine if you called a friend to tell them about a movie you just saw. You call them and say how much you loved it and that you have another person on the line to tell them what the movie is about. Your friend says “but I don’t want to hear about the movie from someone I don’t even know. I want to hear what you thought about it.” This is the same as when we call a potential prospect and then push them in front up an upline expert thinking that everything will be taken care of. You have to take an interest in your recruits success.
Your upline sponsor has their role in ensuring your success, but that role is not to babysit you. That means that we as independent representatives must go out on our own sometimes and get things done.

Why do Most People Fail in MLM?…..
The reality is that the network marketing companies arent doing anythign to help us.
I love network marketing and believe that a person needs to take some responibility for their own success/failure but . If we get TOTALLY REAL with ourselves
then we realize that its not about the product or service that the company offers but rather the fact that we want to make alot of money. And…if we want to
make alot of money then we need DUPLICATION. And if we want duplication then we should stop cold calling people, and 3waying to our upline, and getting shot
down by friends and family etc… (THATS NOT SIMPLE AND THEREFORE DUPLICATION WON’T HAPPEN!)
In my opinion the companies need to stop focusing on the bottle of wonder juice they are selling and have it set up so that whatever task(s) are necessary to achieve duplication are not only easy but also simple. By these companies not focusing on simple duplication they are not setting you up for success”
